Job summary

QT Canberra is seeking an experienced bartender to join Capitol Bar. You will craft exceptional cocktails, deliver stylish service and engage a diverse clientele in a fast-paced, high-end setting.

Ideal candidates bring mixology skills, strong product knowledge and a passion for guest delight, with flexibility to support different hotel outlets and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain personal grooming and a clean, stocked work area to hotel standards.

• Complete opening, cashiering, and closing duties accurately and efficiently.
• Participate in training to improve service and knowledge.
• Collaborate with team and support other departments as needed.

About the Role

We are looking for an experience bartender too join the team at Capitol Bar at QT Canberra. We are looking for someone with a passion for shaking exceptional cocktails and loves delivering service with flair and personality. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-end environment and takes pride in their mixology skills, product knowledge, and ability to engage with a diverse clientele.

Skills & Experience

• 1 - 2 years of experience working in a similar restaurant, hotel or bar.
• Experience making cocktails with a good knowledge of all thing beverage related from your classics to the slightly mor unusual
• Personable, enjoy working in a busy environment and engaging with guests.
• Good communication, a team player and attention to detail.
• Adaptable and the ability to multi-task and anticipate the guests needs.
• Enjoy working in a hotel environment and have flexibility to support different outlets.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain personal grooming and uphold a clean, safe, and well-stocked work environment in line with hotel standards.
• Deliver exceptional food and beverage service while adhering to all operational, safety, and hygiene procedures.
• Demonstrate strong product knowledge and comply with all preparation and dispensing standards.
• Complete all opening, closing, and cashiering duties accurately and efficiently.
• Participate in all required training sessions to continuously improve service and product knowledge.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and assist other departments as needed to ensure smooth operations.
