QT Canberra, part of EVT - Entertainment | Ventures | Travel, is seeking an experienced bartender for Capitol Bar. You will craft exceptional cocktails and deliver service with flair and personality in a fast-paced, high-end setting.

This role suits someone who thrives on mixology, product knowledge, and engaging a diverse clientele. Ideal candidates have 1-2 years in a similar venue, strong beverage knowledge, and enjoy a busy hotel environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in a similar restaurant, hotel or bar.
• Experience making cocktails across a range from classics to more unusual offerings.
• Personable and able to engage guests in a busy environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork; attention to detail from opening to closing.
• Adaptable with multi-tasking in a hotel setting and across outlets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grooming, safety, and stocked work environment to hotel standards.
• Deliver exceptional food and beverage service adhering to procedures.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and comply with preparation and dispensing standards.
• Complete opening, closing, and cashier duties accurately and efficiently.
• Participate in training to improve service and product knowledge.
• Collaborate with team members and support other departments as needed.

About the Role

We are looking for an experience bartender to join the team at Capitol Bar at QT Canberra. We are looking for someone with a passion for shaking exceptional cocktails and loves delivering service with flair and personality. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-end environment and takes pride in their mixology skills, product knowledge, and ability to engage with a diverse clientele.

Skills & Experience

• 1 - 2 years of experience working in a similar restaurant, hotel or bar.
• Experience making cocktails with a good knowledge of all thing beverage related from your classics to the slightly mor unusual
• Personable, enjoy working in a busy environment and engaging with guests.
• Good communication, a team player and attention to detail.
• Adaptable and the ability to multi-task and anticipate the guests needs.
• Enjoy working in a hotel environment and have flexibility to support different outlets.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively with team members and assist other departments as needed to ensure smooth operations.
