Qualifications

• Experience in a similar bar management role, preferably within a hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Excellent customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Thorough understanding of bar and restaurant operations, including inventory management.
• Knowledge of relevant health, safety and licensing regulations.
• An empathy and understanding of the Williamstown Maritime Association values.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the bar and restaurant, ensuring all customer service, food and beverage service, and cleaning standards are consistently met.
• Lead, motivate and develop a team of hospitality professionals, providing coaching and training to drive performance and foster a positive work environment.
• Oversee stock control, inventory management and ordering to maintain optimal product levels and minimise waste.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and licensing regulations.
• Foster positive relationships with customers, suppliers and other key stakeholders.
• Participate in the planning and execution of special events and promotions.
