Job summary

InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach is seeking a Bar Supervisor for our newly refurbished pool bar. You will lead daily operations, ensure top-tier service and maintain a welcoming, safe environment for guests and team members.

Ideal candidates bring supervisory hospitality experience, strong leadership, and a passion for guest service, with RSA certification and flexibility for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have valid work rights in Australia (sponsorship not possible).
• Previous supervisory experience in bar/pool bar/restaurant or hospitality.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
• Sound knowledge of food & beverage operations, including cocktail service.
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Current NSW RSA certification.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• WSET qualification is an advantage (or equivalent wine/beverage certification).
• Qualifications in Hotel Management, Business and/or Food & Beverage related field preferred.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster – evenings, weekend and public holiday shifts.

• Maintain high presentation standards across the bar, pool deck and service areas.
• Support revenue growth while controlling costs and minimising waste.

What is the role? Working as Bar Supervisor in our newly refurbished pool bar, you will bring energy and exceptional service to our luxury poolside experience. You will lead the day-to-day operations of the pool bar, ensuring outstanding guest experience, a high standard of food and beverage service, and a safe, welcoming environment for both guests and team members.

What we need from you

• Current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.

• WSET qualification is an advantage (or equivalent wine and beverage certification) preferred, with a strong knowledge of wine and spirits and demonstrated learning in the beverage industry.

• Qualifications in Hotel Management, Business and/or Food & Beverage related field preferred

• Flexibility to work a rotating roster – evenings, weekend and public holiday shifts are all part of the job
