Ambrose Estate and 300 Acres Restaurant & Bar is seeking a hands-on Bar Manager/Duty Manager to oversee bar operations and support the smooth running of our restaurant, bar and function centre.

This fast-paced role focuses on floor operations, requiring strong leadership with experience in supervision and overseeing service across multiple venues on a Wembley Golf Course site.

Qualifications

• Experience running shifts with a level of seniority (e.g. Supervisor or Duty Manager level).
• Genuine passion for hospitality and strong beverage knowledge.
• Confident leading a team and coordinating service operations.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Availability to work weekends and late nights.

Responsabilités

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring efficient service and high standards of beverage quality.
• Managing beverage stock levels, stocktakes, ordering, storage and wastage to maintain effective inventory control.
• Ensuring the bar is properly set up, stocked, clean and ready for service.
• Working independently and undertaking Duty Manager responsibilities as required, including overseeing operations, cash reconciliation, closing procedures and securing the premises.
• Leading and supporting the FOH team during service, delegating tasks and ensuring staff perform their duties effectively.
• Running restaurant or functions shifts as required, taking responsibility for service operations, staff coordination and ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
• Training, motivating and guiding staff to maintain service standards and improve team performance.
• Providing professional customer service, responding to enquiries and resolving complaints as required.
• Maintaining compliance with WHS procedures, RSA requirements, relevant liquor licensing laws and food safety standards.
• Monitoring bar equipment and facilities, reporting maintenance issues and ensuring safe and hygienic working conditions.
• Completing required stock records, shift reports, cash handling procedures and other operational administration

Ambrose Estate and 300 Acres Restaurant & Bar is an award-winning venue located on the beautiful Wembley Golf Course, featuring a modern restaurant alongside a spacious function centre that hosts weddings and corporate events.

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Bar Manager/Duty Manager to oversee bar operations and support the smooth running of our restaurant, bar and function centre.

This role is hands-on and focused on floor operations — perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being involved in the action.

You will work closely with the Restaurant and Functions Managers and play a key role in ensuring service runs smoothly across both spaces.

What You’ll Be Doing
