Shangri-La Sydney invites an energetic Bar Back to join Blu Bar on 36, a premier cocktails destination. You will support a high-end bar team, ensuring fast, professional service and pristine presentation across shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality or service roles is desirable.
• Desire to learn cocktails and luxury bar service.

Responsibilities

• Support the bar team in delivering fast, efficient and professional service, while anticipating guest needs.
• Assist with bar opening and closing procedures, service preparation, equipment setup, and stock levels including garnishes and purees.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across the bar, wash-up and work areas.
• Ensure glassware, equipment and service areas are maintained, reporting any damage or equipment needs.
• Assist with stock management, bar requisitions and beverage cost controls.
• Develop knowledge of cocktails and beverage service; participate in training as required.
• Follow hotel policies, liquor laws, and health and safety procedures; assist with POS and other duties as required.
