Delaware North Australia & New Zealand is hiring a casual Commis Chef to join the banquets team at Mindil Beach Casino Resort in Darwin, NT. You will work alongside senior chefs in a high-volume kitchen, contributing to menu prep, presentation, and food safety.

Qualifications include a Minimum Level 3 Certificate in Commercial Cookery and a Food Safety certificate, with a willingness to obtain at onboarding; you should be available to roster over a 7-day period, including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Commis Chef in a high-volume kitchen.
• Solid background in kitchen operations and food presentation.
• Awareness of HACCP and WHS standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a range of dishes in a high-volume production setting.
• Follow recipes for menu preparation and maintain cooking guidelines.
• Execute food preparation tasks with attention to presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
• Ensure HACCP and WHS compliance and manage cross-contamination.
