Job summary

QT Hotels & Resorts on the Gold Coast is seeking a Food and Beverage Supervisor to lead banquet and events operations, ensuring high-quality service across functions. You will coach the banquet team, coordinate setup and breakdown, and maintain safety and hygiene standards while managing inventory and rosters.

You will bring hands-on F&B experience, strong leadership, guest focus, and the ability to manage multiple events in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in food and beverage operations, preferably in banquets or events.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to train and support a diverse team.
• Guest-focused approach with commitment to high-quality service.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple events.
• Understanding of health, safety, and hygiene requirements.
• Ability to manage cost controls, rosters, and inventory.
• Professional presentation and grooming standards.
• Flexibility to work rotating roster (days, nights, weekends, holidays).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily banquet and event operations to ensure smooth, high quality service.
• Lead, train, and support the banquet team to deliver consistent service standards.
• Manage event setup and pack down according to client requirements and event orders.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address service issues promptly.
• Coordinate with clients, chefs, and event coordinators for seamless execution.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event reviews.
• Manage inventory, equipment, and cost controls, including rosters and payroll.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance reviews for banquet staff.
• Ensure accurate daily postings and complete detailed post-event reports.
• Assist other F&B outlets when required.
