Job summary

Engine by Starling seeks a Solution Architect to explain the Engine technology, uncover client requirements, and design client solutions across sales and delivery phases. The role involves travel around Australia and New Zealand and occasional international travel.

You will lead technical designs, collaborate with engineeing teams and SI partners, and shape the product roadmap while ensuring successful delivery and client outcomes.

Qualifications

• End-to-end software engineering / solution architecture across the software delivery lifecycle.
• Experience with software service design and integration, RESTful APIs, OpenAPI specification and sequence diagrams.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and large-scale cloud applications.
• Experience working in a client-facing role and building relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills; ability to deliver complex messaging to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Explain the Engine product and uncover client requirements to design client solutions.
• Lead on technical designs during implementation and liaise with client engineers and SI partners.
• Collaborate with Product and engineering to fulfil requirements and shape product roadmap.
• Provide expert guidance to client engineering teams using API specs, diagrams, and documentation.
• Ensure ongoing client success and work with Client Success to translate needs into new requirements.
