Job summary

Tech Aalto Pte ltd in Sydney, Australia, seeks a Principal Technical Architect / SME for Banking & Cards to define and drive end-to-end technical architecture across banking and card platforms. You will provide SME expertise on the Australian banking ecosystem, design scalable microservices, and develop secure API architectures with strong integration patterns.

Role requires hands-on Python development, experience with MySQL/NoSQL databases, and leading cloud-to-on-premises integration.

Qualifications

• Define and drive end-to-end technical architecture for banking and card platforms.
• Provide SME expertise across Australian banking and cards, including local banking ecosystem and regulatory considerations.
• Design scalable and resilient microservices-based architectures.
• Develop secure and robust API architectures, including API security, authentication, authorization, and integration patterns.
• Design event-driven architectures and integration solutions across applications and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud architecture and integration between cloud services and on-premises infrastructure.
• Provide technical direction across networking, infrastructure, security, and IT architecture.
• Design and implement solutions using Python, with strong hands-on technical expertise.
• Work with MySQL and NoSQL databases, including data architecture and integration considerations.
• Establish platform capabilities covering monitoring, logging, alerting, observability, and operational readiness.
• Ensure solutions meet requirements for security, scalability, availability, performance, and resilience.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, security, product, and business teams to define and implement architecture standards.
• Act as the technical SME and provide guidance on architecture decisions, technology selection, and complex technical challenges.
