Job summary

Dentons Australia invites applications for a Solicitor to join our Banking & Insolvency Litigation team in Sydney. The role offers exposure to a broad range of matters for major Australian banks, insolvency practitioners and corporate clients, with mentoring to develop technical, commercial and client management skills.

You will gain practical experience across enforcement, recoveries and insolvency, while contributing to a dynamic, inclusive team environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ post-admission experience in litigation and general commercial work.
• Exposure to banking litigation, recoveries, enforcement, insolvency or restructuring is desirable.

Responsibilities

• act for major Australian banks in secured enforcement and recovery matters;
• act for non-financial institutions in secured and unsecured recoveries;
• advise insolvency practitioners on administrations, liquidations, receiverships and bankruptcy;
• assist with litigious and non-litigious matters involving mortgage enforcement and PPSA securities;
• represent clients in court proceedings;
• support not-for-profit and charity clients with general advisory and litigation matters;
• participate in the firm’s pro bono, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
