Drakes Supermarkets is seeking a motivated, experienced leader to manage a fresh food department. You will be responsible for stock control, health and safety compliance, and driving sales and gross profit while training and developing a high-performing team.

Strong customer service and communication skills are essential in a dynamic retail environment. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will lead a team, ensure KPI targets are met, and support nearby stores when needed.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Store Manager and Bakery Supervisor, this successful applicant will be responsible for managing the department as if it were their own store.

Some of the key tasks include ensuring accurate stock management and compliance, monitoring and achieving sales, and gross profit targets, train, coach and developing your team, all while ensuring the department consistently meets food health and safety requirements.

This is a full-time salaried position.

Availability Requirements

• Monday-Friday between 7am-6pm
• Fortnightly rotation of a Saturday or Sunday shift
• Ability to be flexible during periods of team leave.
• A willingness to support nearby stores if required.
