Job summary

Drakes Supermarkets Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated candidate to support Bakery Management in our South Australia stores. You will help with day-to-day operations, stock availability, and delivering great customer service in a busy bakery environment.

Reporting to the Bakery Manager, you will assist with rostering, merchandising, inventory control and coaching a small team. This permanent part-time role offers onsite training and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• Food handling experience or fresh food retail knowledge.
• Exposure to supporting or leading a team.
• Positive ‘can do’ attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bakery Manager with day-to-day operations.

• Support nearby stores during peak periods when needed.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Bakery Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with the day-to‑day operations of the department, ensuring full availability of products, and a high level of service to our customers.

Some of the key tasks include supporting the Department Manager with leading and coaching the team, ensuring inventory management compliance and accurate stock levels, merchandising, generating rosters and much more!

This is a permanent part-time position starting at 25 hours per week.

Availability Requirements

• Monday-Friday between 7am-6pm
• Fortnightly rotation of a Saturday or Sunday shift
• Ability to be flexible during periods of team leave.
• A willingness to support nearby stores if required.
