Job summary

Chittaway Bakehouse on the New South Wales coast is seeking a friendly customer service assistant to join our bakery team. This role handles orders, cash transactions, barista tasks, and general food prep in a fast-paced environment.

Approx 20 hours per week with Monday–Friday shifts and occasional weekend work. Australian work rights are essential and you will become part of a close-knit, experienced team that takes pride in quality bread and pastries and offers staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Bakery or takeaway customer service experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year bakery or takeaway service experience.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve customers promptly.
• Take cake and bread orders.
• Operate ovens and warm pies.
• Make sandwiches (training provided) and coffee.
• Maintain bakery cleanliness and WHS standards.
