Job summary

Drakes Victor Harbor is seeking a hands-on bakery assistant to support the day-to-day operation of our bakery department. Reporting to the Bakery Manager, you will help run production, coaching the team and ensuring smooth service in a busy supermarket environment.

With a focus on customer service, teamwork and food safety, you will contribute to an exceptional shopping experience and benefit from on-the-job training, career progression, and staff discounts across the Drakes stores.

Qualifications

• Experience in fresh food retail is preferred.
• Ability to supervise a team and coach colleagues.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

About The Role

Reporting directly to the Bakery Manager, this successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operation of the stores bakery department, to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

If successful, you will be required to assist with managing and coaching the team, completing production, actioning orders, generating rosters + much more!

Working as a part of an enthusiastic team, in a highly competitive supermarket environment, applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

• Fresh food retail knowledge is preferred, but not essential
