Since 1998, Dolceroma has been a trusted name in the food service industry, producing quality cakes, pastries and desserts for clubs, cafes, caterers and distributors across Sydney. Operating from our Prestons production facility, we are passionate about quality products, efficient systems, innovation and building a positive team culture.

We are currently seeking a qualified Pastry Chef to join our wholesale production team in a full-time, hands-on role within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with both traditional pastry techniques and modern food manufacturing equipment, while contributing to a team focused on consistency, efficiency and continuous improvement.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Prepare and produce cakes, pastries, desserts, fillings and baked products to company specifications and quality standards

Operate and work alongside commercial bakery and food manufacturing machinery and equipment

Assist with production processes including depositing, forming, cutting and packaging operations

Maintain consistency, presentation, portion control and product quality standards

Follow HACCP, GMP, food safety and workplace health and safety procedures

Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic work environment

Assist with stock rotation, ingredient handling and minimising wastage

Work collaboratively with the production and administration teams to meet daily production schedules

Contribute to continuous improvement, production efficiencies and positive team culture

About You

You are a passionate and reliable Pastry Chef who takes pride in producing quality products and working as part of a team. You have good communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Experience and understanding of commercial food manufacturing machinery and equipment, including production and packaging systems, will be highly regarded. A mechanical understanding of machinery operations and troubleshooting is considered a strong advantage.

Qualifications & Experience Needed

Certificate IV in Patisserie or relevant industry experience highly regarded

Experience within a bakery, patisserie or food manufacturing environment required

Understanding of commercial bakery and food manufacturing machinery and equipment

Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety procedures

Good organisational and communication skills

Ability to work efficiently within a team environment
