Job summary

Forestway Fresh in Terrey Hills, NSW is seeking a motivated Pastry Chef either fully qualified or nearing completion to join our award-winning, family-owned patisserie team. You will help prepare and decorate cakes, tarts, pastries and desserts, and assist customers with enquiries in a retail-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in pastry and baking.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day operations of the Patisserie Department.
• Assist customers with enquiries and orders.
• Prepare and produce cakes, tarts, pastries, desserts and specialty baked goods.
• Decorating and finishing products to a high standard.
• Maintain consistency, quality and presentation standards, ensuring products are displayed and merchandised in accordance with Forestway Fresh guidelines.
• Follow recipes, ingredient preparation, schedules and routines for smooth and efficient operations in the Patisserie department.
• Ensure all protocols for food handling and safety are being adhered to.
• Adhere to health and safety standards without compromise.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Pastry Chef who is either fully qualified or nearing completion of their qualification and looking to further develop their skills within a retail focused patisserie environment.
