Job summary

ButterBoy Retail Cookies Pty Ltd is expanding its Macquarie area bakery and seeks an experienced baker for a full-time permanent role in Sydney. You will prepare, bake and finish bakery products, following ButterBoy recipes and daily production schedules, while delivering a great in-store customer experience.

The role requires 2 years of experience, baking knowledge, and a NSW NSW Food Safety Supervisor certificate.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in a similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and efficiently.
• NSW FSS (Food Safety Supervisor) Certificate is preferred.

ButterBoy is expanding, and we're looking for experienced Bakers to join the team in the Macquarie area in the near future.

The Role

We're looking for a skilled, passionate Baker to prepare, bake and finish bakery products in accordance with ButterBoy recipes, specifications and daily production schedules — while helping deliver a great in-store customer experience. Hiring for full-time positions.

What You'll Be Doing

Production

• Prepare, bake and finish bakery products in accordance with ButterBoy recipes, specifications and daily production schedules
• Maintain consistent product quality, appearance and portion standards across all baked goods
• Follow established recipes and production procedures accurately to ensure food safety and consistency
• Maintain the bakery, equipment and workstations in a clean, organised and hygienic condition at all times
• Ensure all equipment is used safely and cleaned according to operational and food safety standards
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health regulations relevant to the bakery operation
• Represent the ButterBoy brand and values through professionalism, teamwork and high-quality workmanship

Customer Experience

• Provide detailed product knowledge and answer customer questions about bakery items when approached
• Assist the Front of House team during busy periods, including serving customers, packaging products and operating the counter when required

What We're Looking For

• 2 years' experience in a similar environment
• Commercial cooking/pastry qualification or a reasonable amount of prior experience
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and efficiently
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• NSW FSS (Food Safety Supervisor) Certificate
