Qualifications

• Relevant bakery qualification or proven commercial baking experience.

• Strong understanding of bakery production processes.
• Knowledge of foodsafety and workplace health and safety practices.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Reliable, motivated, and able to work effectively within a team.
• Experience with retail bakery operations will be highly regarded.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and weigh ingredients according to established recipes.
• Mix dough following production schedules and quality standards.
• Process and shape dough efficiently to meet daily production targets.
• Operate bakery equipment including mixers, ovens, proofers, and retarders.
• Bake a variety of bakery products to achieve consistent quality and appearance.
• Monitor product flow throughout the production process.
• Display freshly baked products appropriately for retail presentation.
• Maintain production schedules to ensure timely product availability.
• Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory management.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards throughout the bakery.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
• Support and mentor junior bakery staff and apprentices when required.
• Work collaboratively with the production team to achieve daily production goals.
