Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• Professional software development experience.
• Experience with Java and object-oriented programming.
• Experience developing backend applications and APIs.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Understanding of software development methodologies and version control.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain software applications and backend services.
• Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into software solutions.
• Develop and maintain APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Design, develop and maintain database-related functionality and SQL queries.
• Troubleshoot software defects and technical issues and implement solutions.
• Perform testing, debugging and performance optimisation.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain software development standards.
• Support software deployment, maintenance and ongoing improvement of applications.
• Collaborate with developers, technical teams and business stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation where required.
