Qualifications

About the Role

As a Software Developer, you will contribute to the design, development, testing and maintenance of software applications and services. You will work closely with developers, technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable and effective software solutions that support the company's technology and business requirements.

Essential Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Professional experience in software development.

• Experience with Java and object-oriented programming.

• Experience developing backend applications and APIs.

• Experience working with relational databases and SQL.

• Understanding of software development methodologies and version control.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Spring Boot or similar backend frameworks.

• Experience with PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server or other relational databases.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.

• Experience with Docker or containerised application environments.

• Experience developing integrations with third-party systems or APIs.

• Experience with automated testing and continuous integration/deployment practices.
