Job summary

Easygo, Melbourne-based leaders in entertainment tech, seeks an experienced software engineer to drive scalable systems and hands-on development. You’ll own projects end-to-end, mentor peers, and collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions.

You will work with a modern stack (Typescript/JavaScript, Svelte/SSR, Node.js) on distributed architectures using Kubernetes, WebSockets, and cloud services, with opportunities for growth and learning across our global

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5–8 years of hands-on software engineering, focusing on scalable system design and development.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks, preferably Typescript, JavaScript, Svelte or other SSR frameworks.
• Proficient in Node.js, REST API, Kubernetes, Design Patterns, WebSockets / Pub/Sub and related technologies.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts.
• Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, and guiding teams.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership within the Engagement domain, collaborating with adjacent teams to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Hands-on coding, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
• Write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code following standards and best practices.
• Lead and independently own projects or components from start to finish.
• Mentor peers and share knowledge to grow the team and capabilities.
• Communicate timelines, blockers, and project statuses with stakeholders.
