Job summary

Mitti by SafetyCulture seeks a Software Engineer II to join the Customer Identity and Access Management team. You will design, build and scale backend services in a large SaaS platform, owning features from inception to delivery with cross-functional teams.

You will work with Golang, OpenID Connect, SAML and AWS, building secure authentication flows, multi-tenant access and resilient data stores in PostgreSQL, Kafka and related tech.

Qualifications

• Solid backend development experience; scalable systems focus.
• Experience delivering features end-to-end in a collaborative team.
• Relational data modelling and PostgreSQL design, migrations and indexing.
• Experience deploying and operating services on AWS in production.
• Understanding of distributed systems, APIs, retries, timeouts, and consistency.
• Exposure to authentication, sessions or identity (OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SAML).
• Experience in multi-tenant systems with scalable boundaries.
• Commitment to clean, tested code and constructive code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend services in a large-scale SaaS platform.
• Own features from inception to delivery with cross-functional teams.
• Build and maintain authentication and user lifecycle flows (signup, login, MFA, SSO).
• Contribute to safe migrations from legacy identity services via feature flags and staged rollouts.
• Prioritize security and careful handling of credentials and tokens.
• Participate in code review, testing and improving engineering practices.
• Make platform capabilities easy for other teams to consume.
