Cisco Systems, Inc. in Sydney is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Portfolio Engine team, which maintains the entitlement and commercial lifecycle for Splunk's cloud products.

You will help design and build backend services and APIs that track customer entitlements and ensure correct product delivery. You should be comfortable with on-call rotation, collaborating with product owners and partner teams, and contributing to reliable, scalable backend systems.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of related experience or Master's degree with 0 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of backend tech such as Go or Python; exposure to current technologies through coursework or internship.
• Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams and communicate complex ideas clearly.

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs that manage customer entitlements, subscriptions, and commercial state across Splunk's cloud product portfolio.
• Contribute to systems that automate order intake, validation, and fulfillment across multiple channels and product lines.
• Simplify complex problems into manageable steps for yourself and your team.
• Explore opportunities to improve team workflows, tooling, and engineering processes.
• Engage in open design discussions and code reviews to drive collaboration and quality.
• Assist with critical issues and on-call rotation to support platform reliability.
