Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Software Engineer on the Product Sizing and Packaging (PSP) team to size architectures for Splunk Enterprise Cloud workloads. You will collaborate with product owners and designers to build and support internal and customer-facing applications that collect, analyze, visualize, and deliver architecture solutions.

You will participate in on-call rotations to resolve customer blocking incidents, contribute to API and backend feature development, and help simplify complex tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 2+ years of backend experience or master's degree with minimal experience.
• Basic knowledge of backend technologies (Go, Python) and exposure to current tech through coursework or internship.
• Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams and communicate complex ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

• Create and oversee the development of features and APIs delivering value to customers.
• Build backend systems that translate subscription details into cloud infrastructure recommendations.
• Simplify complex tasks into manageable steps for yourself and the team.
• Refine tools and processes to boost productivity and efficiency.
• Participate in design discussions and code reviews to foster collaboration.
• Assist with critical issues and on-call customer sessions.
