Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Software Engineer on the Product Sizing and Packaging (PSP) team to size architectures for Splunk Enterprise Cloud workloads. You will collaborate with product owners and designers to build and support internal and customer-facing applications that collect, analyze, visualize, and deliver architecture solutions.

You will participate in on-call rotations to resolve customer blocking incidents, contribute to API and backend feature development, and help simplify complex tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 2+ years of backend experience or master's degree with minimal experience.
• Basic knowledge of backend technologies (Go, Python) and exposure to current tech through coursework or internship.
• Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams and communicate complex ideas clearly.

Role Summary

This role is for a Software Engineer on the Product Sizing and Packaging (PSP) team, which is responsible for sizing individual infrastructures (the architectures) to optimally meet our Splunk Enterprise Cloud (EC) customers’ workload requirements.

Splunk is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative engineer to work closely with product owners and designers to build and support a suite of internal/external customer-facing Splunk applications/services to collect, analyze, visualize, and deliver an architecture to meet customer needs. You will also participate in an on-call rotation to handle customer blocking issues and critical incidents outside regular business hours to ensure timely resolution of issues to minimize downtime and impact on customers.

Requirements
