Job summary

Emanate Technology is partnering with a federal government department to hire an experienced Azure Integration Developer in Canberra to design, build and support enterprise integration and API solutions in a modern Microsoft cloud environment.

The role focuses on Azure technologies such as Service Bus, Functions, App Services and API Management, delivering scalable, secure data exchange across critical systems while collaborating with stakeholders in agile teams.

Qualifications

• Formal IT/CS qualification or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years delivering integration solutions in complex enterprise environments.
• Hands-on with Azure Service Bus, Functions, App Services and APIM.
• Strong development experience using C# and the .NET stack.
• Experience building REST APIs and enterprise integration interfaces.
• Experience across full SDLC and problem-solving skills.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong Azure integration background who enjoys solving complex business challenges, designing scalable solutions and working across critical systems. You'll play a key role in developing and supporting integration capabilities that enable secure data exchange and connectivity across enterprise applications and services.

About the Role

• Design, build and support enterprise integration solutions using Microsoft Azure technologies
• Develop and maintain APIs, services and reusable integration components
• Deliver solutions using Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, Azure App Services and Azure API Management (APIM)
• Design and implement secure, scalable and resilient integration patterns
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration, application and production support issues
• Contribute to technical design, architecture and solution documentation
• Support application lifecycle management, deployment activities and continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in Agile delivery teams and contribute to best-practice development standards

About You

• Formal qualifications in IT, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience
• 5+ years' experience delivering integration solutions within complex enterprise environments
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Azure Service Bus
  • Azure Functions
  • Azure App Services
  • Azure API Management
• Strong development experience using C# and the Microsoft .NET stack
• Experience developing REST APIs, integration services and enterprise application interfaces
• Strong understanding of integration architecture, messaging patterns and service-oriented design
• Experience working across the full Software Development Lifecycle.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build effective relationships with technical and business stakeholders
• Experience working within large, complex ICT environments

Highly Regarded

• Azure DevOps (VSTS) experience
• SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) experience
• Experience deploying solutions through CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments
• Knowledge of application governance, architecture and technical assurance practices
• Microsoft Azure certifications
• Previous Federal Government experience
