Job summary

The Hr Ally is seeking an experienced Azure Integration Developer/Engineer for a Melbourne-based contract role. The candidate will lead design, development and deployment of Azure-based integrations across the enterprise landscape.

You will work with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into robust, secure integration solutions, building APIs, system-to-system and event-driven integrations while ensuring reliability in dev/test/prod environments.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering Azure integrations across enterprise apps.
• Proficient with Azure Logic Apps, Functions, APIM and Service Bus.
• Knowledge of security concepts (Managed Identities, OAuth, Entra ID).
• Experience with monitoring and CI/CD using Azure DevOps.

Role: Azure Integration Developer / Engineer
Engagement: Contract
Location: Melbourne

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Azure Integration Developer / Engineer to support an enterprise client with the design, development and implementation of integrations across its application landscape.

The role is primarily focused on Microsoft Azure integration technologies and requires someone who can work effectively with client technology teams, understand integration requirements, and independently design and deliver reliable integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy integrations using Microsoft Azure integration services.
• Build and maintain APIs, system-to-system integrations and event-driven integration solutions.
• Work with business and technical stakeholders to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop integrations between enterprise SaaS, cloud and existing business applications.
• Troubleshoot integration failures, performance issues and production incidents.
• Implement appropriate error handling, monitoring, logging and retry mechanisms.
• Ensure integrations follow security, scalability and maintainability standards.
• Produce technical documentation covering integration design, interfaces, mappings and deployment requirements.
• Collaborate with client architecture, application, infrastructure and security teams.
• Support integration deployments across development, test and production environments.

Desirable Experience

• Enterprise application and SaaS integration experience.
• Experience integrating HR, ERP, finance or other enterprise platforms.
• Understanding of integration architecture and common enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience working in hybrid environments involving Azure and on-premise systems.
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience using Bicep, ARM or Terraform
• Exposure to integration platforms such as Boomi would be advantageous but is not mandatory.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who:

• Has strong hands-on Azure integration experience rather than primarily .NET application development experience.
• Can independently analyse an integration requirement and take it through design, build, testing and deployment.
• Has good communication skills and is comfortable working directly with client stakeholders.
• Has experience working within enterprise environments with established architecture, security and governance standards.
• Can work collaboratively across onsite and offshore teams.
