Job summary

Akkodis in Canberra is seeking a Senior Application Developer to design, develop and maintain Azure-based integration solutions, APIs and digital services within a high-profile federal government environment.

You will collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to drive project outcomes, enhance deployment pipelines, provide documentation, mentoring and continuous improvement across the application lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Demonstrated experience developing solutions using the Microsoft technology stack, including .NET Framework.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience working within complex ICT environments and multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of application lifecycle management and ITIL practices.
• Understanding of current and emerging technologies and their business applications.
• SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Experience with ICT governance and project delivery.
• Relevant Microsoft or industry certifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Azure-based integration solutions and Web APIs.

• Support data sharing and system interoperability across multiple enterprise platforms.
• Improve and maintain Azure DevOps deployment pipelines and automation processes.

• Identify and manage delivery risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Mentor developers and support teams on integration best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the application lifecycle.
