Job summary

Epicor Australia is looking for a skilled Tier 2 Cloud Operations Engineer to join our hybrid Melbourne team. You’ll manage production environments, investigate incidents, and coordinate with Tier 1, Tier 3, development, and infrastructure groups to restore service quickly.

You’ll own Azure administration (VMs, storage, networking), container and Kubernetes troubleshooting, and SQL Server diagnostics, while supporting CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cloud operations, production support, or related field.
• Hands-on experience administering Azure production environments.
• Hands-on experience supporting containers and Kubernetes in production.
• Experience using Microsoft SQL Server for application or production troubleshooting.
• Experience managing escalated incidents including P1 or system-down events.
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, deployments, or release activities is preferred.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platform is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Eng, or related discipline, or equivalent.
• Relevant certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert are preferred but not required.
• Ability to support occasional scheduled weekend activities.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and resolves complex Tier 2 incidents for cloud-hosted production applications and infrastructure.
• Triages issues across application, database, network, infrastructure, and product teams, ensuring ownership and timely resolution.
• Manages incidents, requests, and tasks through ServiceNow according to priorities and SLAs.
• Administers and supports Azure production environments (VMs, storage, networking, containers, Kubernetes).
• Troubleshoots application availability, performance, deployment, connectivity, container, Kubernetes, and SQL issues.
• Supports and troubleshoots automated deployments, CI/CD pipelines, product upgrades, and customer go-lives.
• Escalates unresolved issues to Tier 3, Development, or other specialist teams and drives resolution.
• Serves as a technical SME to Tier 1 Cloud Ops and other internal teams.
• Creates and maintains operational docs, troubleshooting guides, and automation opportunities.
• Supports occasional scheduled weekend activities; no regular on-call rotation.
