Job summary

Ignite in Canberra is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to design, build, and support secure Azure cloud environments for a Federal Government program. You will implement landing zones, networking, identity, security, governance, and monitoring, using IaC and CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.

The role requires extensive experience with Azure, Infrastructure as Code, and DevSecOps, and is based in ACT with hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Azure cloud design and implementation expertise.
• Strong IaC and DevOps practices are required.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in government or complex enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• Implement and maintain Azure landing zones, networking, identity, security, governance, and monitoring services.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Bicep, or similar.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation through Azure DevOps.
• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Implement cloud security controls and ensure compliance with government security frameworks and best practices.
• Produce technical documentation, implementation guides, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, security teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
