Job summary

The Network is seeking an experienced Azure Infrastructure Engineer to support a major digital transformation program within a Federal Government department. You will deploy, maintain and improve Azure infrastructure in a secure cloud environment, working with infrastructure, development and delivery teams to advance cloud modernisation and automation.

You will design, deploy and troubleshoot Azure infrastructure, develop IaC using Bicep and ARM templates, and build Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure IaaS, Functions, Web Apps, Storage and integration services.
• Proficient with Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, service principals and Azure API Management.
• Proven experience with Azure infrastructure migration, maintenance and optimisation.
• Strong skills in Azure DevOps, YAML pipelines, Bicep and ARM templates.
• Understanding of Azure networking, cloud security, monitoring and risk management principles.

Responsibilities

The Network is seeking an experienced Azure Infrastructure Engineer to support a major digital transformation program within a Federal Government department.

You will be responsible for deploying, maintaining and improving Azure infrastructure within a secure cloud environment. Working alongside infrastructure, development and delivery teams, you will contribute to cloud modernisation, infrastructure automation and the ongoing reliability and security of enterprise systems.

Skills and Experience Required

• Strong hands-on experience across Azure IaaS, Azure Functions, Web Apps, Storage and integration services.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, service principals and Azure API Management.
• Demonstrated experience with Azure infrastructure migration, maintenance and optimisation.
• Strong capability with Azure DevOps, YAML pipelines, Bicep and/or ARM templates.

About You

You are a technically capable Azure Engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges and working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. You bring strong troubleshooting skills, an automation-first mindset and the ability to deliver secure, reliable cloud solutions.

Previous experience within Australian Government environments and relevant Azure certifications will be highly regarded.
