Job summary

Mane Consulting is seeking a seasoned DevOps/Cloud Engineer to lead the evolution of an AWS-based data platform. You will collaborate with data engineers, architects, and cloud specialists to ensure secure, scalable, and automated infrastructure, migrating from Hadoop/Cloudera to AWS-native services.

You will implement CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and cloud security measures while supporting cost optimisation and compliance in a financial services context.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or Cloud Engineer in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, EMR, Glue, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline, etc.).
• Proficiency in IaC tools - Terraform preferred.
• Experience supporting big data platforms or working with data engineering teams.
• Exposure to Hadoop/Cloudera environments and understanding of migration challenges.
• Familiarity with cloud security and compliance in the banking/financial sector is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and evolve cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing.
• Build and support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to support data pipeline delivery.
• Assist in the migration from Cloudera/Hadoop to AWS-native services (S3, EMR, Glue, Redshift, Lambda).
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting across the cloud environment.
• Support platform security, compliance, and cost optimisation in line with financial services standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues across dev, test, and prod environments.
