Job summary

Profusion Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a high‑performing technology team and lead backend data migrations for an enterprise Investment Data Platform. You will work with Investment Data Technology specialists and stakeholders to design scalable data solutions using AWS, Databricks, Python and SQL.

The role focuses on data migration, pipeline development and building robust data platforms across investment and reference data domains, with strong collaboration and delivery

Qualifications

• Excellent Python and SQL development skills.
• Commercial Databricks engineering experience.
• Strong Data migration experience.
• Strong backend and data engineering experience.
• Experience building and maintaining complex ETL / ELT and data pipelines.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise data platforms.
• Investment Management, Asset Management, Superannuation or Financial Markets experience highly regarded.
• Experience with Investment Data Platforms highly regarded.
• Security Master, Reference Data, Market Data and/or Investment Data experience advantageous.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, data quality and data integration.
• Cloud data engineering experience.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and migrate scalable backend data solutions using AWS, Databricks, Python and SQL.
• Collaborate with Investment Data Technology specialists and investment stakeholders.
• Help migrate investment, reference and security data across the organisation.
• Ensure data quality, modelling standards and data integration best practices.
