Job summary

Tallentire O'Flynn Movsowitz is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build and deploy data solutions for a leading Financial Services client in Australia. You will focus on data ingestion, integration and scalable pipelines to unlock valuable data assets across the organisation.

You will work within an analytics delivery team, collaborate with business stakeholders, apply best practices in data engineering, and contribute to lifting the capability and efficiency of the data platform using

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Data Engineering and exposure to Cloud Data Platforms.
• Expert level hands-on experience in AWS cloud data environments (Glue, S3, Athena, Airflow).
• Strong big data and query language skills (SQL, Python, Scala).
• Experience in an analytics delivery team with stakeholder management in an Agile environment.

Job description

We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer for one of our leading Financial Services clients, working to design, build and deploy data solutions for the business.

As a part of this strategy, a key focus of the work will be data ingestion and integration, whilst using AI assisted development tools, that will drive value and greater insights and valuable data assets across the organisation.

Contribute and leverage data engineering principles, pipelines, frameworks, patterns, tooling, processes and standards. Support and development of the data products and platform.

Work as a Senior Data Engineer within the squad, delivering pipelines and improve existing capabilities and performance.

Collaborate and engage with business stakeholders to ensure data engineering requirements and builds are met.

Contribute to evolving the function's capabilities to drive efficiencies and uplift the strategy.

Required Skills & Experience:

Extensive experience in Data Engineering , as well as exposure to Cloud Data Platforms.

Expert level hands‑on experience in AWS cloud data environments (AWS Glue, S3, Athena, Airflow).

Strong big data and query language skills (SQL, Python, Scala).

Extensive experience working in an analytics technical delivery team, utilising stakeholder management skills in an Agile environment.
