Royal Agricultural Society of NSW is seeking an experienced Sous Chef for Sydney Showground to lead a high-performing kitchen team during major events and day-to-day operations. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will drive menu development, maintain top quality, and manage stock and costs in a busy venue.

The role is full-time, on-site at Sydney Showground, with weekend and public-holiday work as required.

Competenze

• Experience supervising teams in a high-volume kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
• Ability to lead and train casual staff.

Mansioni

• Assist the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef with menu development and food innovation.
• Lead and supervise casual kitchen staff, including rostering, mentoring, and performance management.
• Oversee stock control, including rotation, ordering, and monthly stocktakes.
• Manage food and labour costs to meet budget targets.
• Ensure compliance with the Food Safety Plan, maintaining exceptional standards in food quality and presentation.
