Victoria Police Air Wing is hiring a Line Pilot based in Melbourne, with competitive salary and benefits. The role involves operating multi-engine helicopter missions, including winching, fast roping, NVG and NVIS operations, in support of policing and SAR activities.

Applicants must hold a Command Multi Engine (Helicopter) rating, current Class 1 medical, and meet the experience hours listed. Shift work is required at Essendon Airfield.

Qualifications

• Hold Command Multi Engine, (Helicopter) Instrument rating.
• Holder of current Class 1 Aviation medical.
• Minimum 2000 helicopter flying hours with turbine experience.
• Minimum 1500 Pilot in Command hours (Helicopter).
• Hold a Night Visual Flight Rules (NVFR) rating.
• Hold a Low Level Rating (LL).
• Winch and Rappel endorsement with winch experience.
• Night Vision Imaging System rating or NVIS experience.
• AW139 type rating and experience.
• Police and/or SAR experience.
• Hold Airline Transport Pilot Licence.

Responsabilités

• Operate line pilot duties for the Victoria Police Air Wing at Essendon.
• Perform tasks incl. winching, fast roping/rappelling, NVG ops.
• Participate in tactical police operations and SAR support.
• Maintain certification, medicals, and compliance with CASA rules.
