Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking an Avionics Lab Engineer to join our hands-on lab team in Redmond, WA. You will assemble test hardware, solder RF and electrical connectors, and maintain Windows and Linux lab systems while performing verification tests.

You will work with cross-functional hardware and software teams, troubleshoot electrical issues, and help drive high-quality lab processes in a fast-paced satellite program environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE or equivalent.
• Experience in the Linux environment.
• 2+ years in consumer electronics lab environments.
• Experience testing electronics hardware.
• Experience constructing automated test stations.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain lab computing systems (Windows/Ubuntu).
• Execute design verification and qualification tests, test rack and electrical enclosure design.
• Oversee lab spaces, implement 5S organization principles, order consumables, track assets and inventory, coordinate logistics with shipping/receiving.
• Troubleshoot and repair avionics circuits.
• Read electrical schematics, interpret mechanical drawings, and install wiring for low voltage devices.
• Perform soldering and handle RF cables/connectors (e.g., SMA).
• Assemble test racks, cabinets, wire harnesses, and automation equipment.
• Write work instructions, assess and improve processes, maintain attention to detail during operations.
