Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Hardware Test Engineer to architect, build, and operate advanced test systems for satellite payload hardware verification. You will work with cross-functional teams to define test requirements, acceptance criteria, and robust verification plans.

Daily work includes modeling test coverage and reliability, analyzing data, and delivering actionable reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with test plan development and building test bench infrastructure.
• 5+ years hardware design and validation experience.
• 3+ years development/programming/scripting (Python/Java/Bash/Perl).
• Experience designing test conditions, scripts, and data sets to ensure coverage and control.
• Experience using common electronics test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators).
• Master's degree in electrical engineering (preferred).
• 1+ years signal or power integrity experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, build, and operate hardware test systems for satellite hardware verification.
• Drive alignment with partners and stakeholders on verification strategy.
• Collaborate with design engineers to define test requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Build quantitative models to inform design choices and trade studies.
• Analyze test data and generate comprehensive reports with recommendations.
• Perform root cause analysis on test failures and drive corrective actions.
• Optimize test coverage to reduce test time and improve accuracy.
• Stay current with emerging test technologies and standards.
