Qualifications

• Diploma of Electronics and Communications Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong commitment to teamwork and delivering high levels of customer service.
• Ability to learn policies, procedures and legislation relevant to the role.
• Ability to plan, prioritise, organise and perform activities with limited guidance.
• Knowledge of electronic systems including VHF/UHF/HF, satellite and terrestrial bearer systems, radios and basic networking.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and installation on critical air traffic control and aviation rescue and firefighting systems.
• Ensure ongoing operational availability and integrity of communications, navigation and surveillance systems.
• Support asset sustainment activities and timely restoration of services.
• Travel to regional and remote locations across Northern Australia to support infrastructure.
• Perform time-sensitive preventive and corrective maintenance and project installation activities.
