Job summary

RP Infrastructure in Brisbane seeks an experienced Project Director or Associate Director to lead major aviation airport projects and programs, collaborating with clients and our aviation leadership team.

This role blends hands-on project leadership with mentoring, client relationships, and growth of our aviation business in Queensland. You will work with the Director and Executive Director to connect local teams with national expertise.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex building or infrastructure projects with accountability for delivery and client outcomes.
• Experience working with clients with complex organisational structures and large stakeholder groups.
• Experience leading multiple design consultants and multidisciplinary teams, with planning skills and managing interfaces.
• Experience mentoring project professionals and building team culture.
• Strong commercial judgement and ability to identify client needs and opportunities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead major aviation projects and programs from planning through to construction and completion.
• Establish delivery strategies, project plans and governance, oversee budgets, programs, risks and reporting.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and interfaces across design consultants, contractors and advisers.
• Engage with large stakeholder groups and client organisations to align priorities and timely decisions.
• Mentor Senior Project Managers and Project Managers to foster collaboration and resource planning.
• Build relationships through the Aviation leadership team and contribute to national knowledge and growth.
• Identify opportunities with existing clients and support business development.
