Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Construction Manager for a remote airfield project (New Terminal) based in Perth, WA. The role oversees field engineers, reviews contractor submissions, and ensures proper planning, reporting, and stakeholder coordination on a major infrastructure program.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and 10–17 years of relevant experience in infrastructure or aviation projects, with strong communication skills and an ability to manage complex multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in a related field.
• 10–13 years of relevant experience, or 14–17 years total.
• Demonstrated experience in major infrastructure or aviation projects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and supervision of field engineers, focusing on competency development and feedback.
• Monitor that processes and procedures are fully developed and implemented.
• Planning / Productivity: coordinate activities with other disciplines to ensure program delivery priorities are met.
• Review all contractor submissions including schedules, costs, reports and changes.
• Prepare and present reports and forecasts, including summaries of construction progress and expenditure forecasts.
• Liaise, support and assist internal stakeholders regarding onsite project related activities and logistics.
