Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Construction Manager – Remote Airfield (New Terminal) to lead complex aviation projects in Perth, WA. You will oversee multi-disciplinary teams, manage schedules and costs, and coordinate with field engineers to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 10-17 years of experience in major infrastructure or aviation projects, with strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of experience.
• Experience managing major infrastructure or aviation projects is essential.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Engage proactively with field engineers and development through competency development and feedback.
• Monitor that processes and procedures are fully developed and implemented.
• Coordinate activities with other disciplines to ensure program delivery priorities are met.
• Review contractor submittals including schedules, costs, reports and changes.
• Prepare and present reports and forecasts on construction progress and expenditures.
• Support internal stakeholders regarding onsite project activities and logistics.
• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures and work rules by project teams.
• Monitor contractor safety performance and promote safe work practices.
• Oversee quality of work performed by contractors.
• Attend construction toolbox meetings.
