Job summary

Jet Aviation Cairns is seeking an aviation-minded Operations Coordinator to join our FBO team. You will support safe, efficient handling of VIP, corporate, governmental and private aircraft, coordinating aircraft movements from request to departure.

This hands-on role covers marshalling, baggage handling, fuel coordination, ground support equipment and service delivery, with a 24/7 roster. You will work closely with pilots, crew, passengers and suppliers to ensure high safety and service

Qualifications

• Have a genuine interest in aviation, aircraft and FBO operations.
• Enjoy practical, hands-on work and are willing to perform a wide range of operational tasks.
• Can remain calm, organised and effective when priorities change quickly.
• Take initiative and identify what needs to be done without always waiting for direction.
• Have strong teamwork, communication, time-management and prioritisation skills.
• Are comfortable working across a 24/7 operation, including weekends, public holidays and varying shifts.
• Can work effectively in an often-unsupervised environment while maintaining high safety and service standards.
• Understand the importance of safety, security, compliance and accurate documentation in aviation.
• Have the physical capability to perform ramp and aircraft handling duties, including baggage handling and operating ground support equipment.
• Are confident communicating with pilots, crew, passengers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Hold a current ASIC or have the ability to obtain one.
• Hold a current driver’s licence and can meet airport driving requirements, where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of assigned aircraft movements from initial request through to departure, coordinating with pilots, crew, passengers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Marshalling aircraft and handling baggage to support safe and efficient operations.
• Operating ground support equipment and assisting with fueling, catering and transport arrangements.
• Recording movements and related activities in systems and reporting promptly.
• Supporting team members and contributing to continuous improvement.
