Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Project Manager to deliver complex client projects in the aviation and defence sectors. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage scope, and oversee procurement, contract administration and risk mitigation.

Ideal candidates will have construction delivery experience, knowledge of Australian aviation standards, and the ability to coordinate stakeholders across lifecycle stages with MS Project and Microsoft 365 proficiency. ASIC eligibility is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Construction experience delivering projects, especially in aviation/defence.
• Understanding of Australian building and aviation standards.
• Skilled in contractor management and contract administration.
• Ability to manage multiple projects across lifecycle stages.
• Strong communication and stakeholder consultation skills.
• Eligibility for an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) and potential defence clearance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects across varied scopes and disciplines, meeting success criteria.
• Define project scope and assist with business case and funding approvals.
• Engage stakeholders to capture inputs, restrictions, approvals and requirements.
• Manage tender preparation, bid analysis and contract awards for consultants/contractors.
• Ensure contract compliance, process payments and manage changes.
• Oversee construction activities to ensure safety and compliance with guidelines.
• Identify and mitigate project risks to minimise issues.
• Maintain quality across design and construction phases.
