Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Sydney, Australia, is seeking a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to lead end-to-end aviation infrastructure and construction projects, ensuring safe, compliant delivery with minimal disruption to airport operations.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget and quality across the full lifecycle, engage stakeholders, coordinate procurement and contracts, and drive risk management to meet regulatory and safety standards in a complex operational environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience delivering construction and infrastructure projects, preferably within the aviation sector.
• Sound knowledge of Australian building regulations, relevant standards, and aviation industry requirements.
• Proven capability in contract administration, contractor management, procurement and commercial management.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a collaborative project environment.

Responsibilities

• Project Delivery: Manage projects through the full lifecycle, delivering scope, schedule, budget and quality objectives.
• Planning & Development: Define project scope, prepare business cases, and support funding and approval processes.
• Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements, approvals and operational constraints are effectively managed.
• Procurement & Contracts: Lead consultant and contractor procurement, contract administration, change management, and commercial oversight.
• Construction & Risk Management: Oversee site activities, manage project risks, and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and quality standards throughout delivery.
