Job summary

Macleay Aircraft Maintenance in Kempsey NSW is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) or B1.1/B1.2 Licensed LAME to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections and repairs on piston and turbine engines and airframes.

You will prepare maintenance documentation, mentor apprentices, and ensure compliance with CASA and regulatory standards, working with a small professional team on-site.

Qualifications

• Current CASA Part 66 B1.1 and/or B1.2 licence is required.
• Practical general aviation maintenance experience is essential.
• Sound fault-finding and troubleshooting skills are required.
• Experience with piston and/or turbine-powered aircraft is preferred.
• Ability to interpret maintenance manuals and technical data.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
• Performing inspections, troubleshooting and defect rectification.
• Maintenance of piston and turbine engines, airframes and associated systems.
• Completing repairs and component changes per approved data.
• Accurately completing worksheets, logbooks and maintenance documentation.
• Assisting with inspections, modifications and major maintenance activities.
• Mentoring apprentices and less experienced engineers.
• Maintaining tool control, housekeeping and safety standards.
• Working closely with engineers, management, operators and owners.
• Ensuring all maintenance meets professional and regulatory standards.
