Job summary

COS is recruiting an AV Solutions Specialist to join our growing team. You will design and deliver high-quality AV solutions across education, corporate and government sectors, collaborating with customers, suppliers, installers, and AV business development managers.

You will work closely with the Kookaburra team to scope projects, prepare BOMs, quotes and tender submissions, ensuring fit-for-purpose solutions that meet budgets and operational requirements. Flexible hybrid work is available.

• Proven experience in the AV industry.
• Strong capability in designing AV solutions.
• Experience supporting scoping, BOM development, quoting, and tender submissions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with AV BDMs to support full sales and solution scoping.
• Engage with customers, suppliers and installation partners to gather requirements.
• Recommend fit-for-purpose AV solutions aligned to customer needs and budgets.
• Design AV solutions across meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, education environments, and digital signage.
• Develop scopes of work, BOMs and supporting technical documentation.
• Assess installation requirements, project risks and solution feasibility.
• Provide technical expertise throughout the sales cycle and support quotes and tenders.
• Support project delivery through technical guidance and process improvements.

About The Role

Reporting to the Solutions support Manager, you’ll be focused on supporting our fastest growing category 'Audio Visual' whilst working closely with our Audio-Visual Specialist team, Kookaburra. Kookaburra is our trusted specialist in innovative audio-visual (AV) and technology solutions, supporting education, corporate and government sectors across Australia. The AV Solutions Specialist will play an important role in designing and delivering high-quality solutions whilst working in close collaboration with customers, suppliers, installations partners and AV business development managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with AV BDMs to support the full sales and solution scoping process
• Engage with customers, suppliers, and installation partners to gather requirements and validate solutions
• Recommend fit-for-purpose AV solutions aligned to customer needs, budgets, and operational requirements
• Design AV solutions across meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, education environments, and digital signage
• Develop scopes of work, BOMs, and supporting technical documentation
• Assess installation requirements, project risks, and solution feasibility
• Provide technical expertise throughout the sales cycle and support quotes and tenders
• Support project delivery through technical guidance while contributing to continuous improvement of solutions and processes

About You

• Proven experience in the AV industry, with a strong capability in designing AV solutions
• Solid technical knowledge across AV technologies including audio systems, interactive displays, digital signage, and lighting
• Ability to interpret floor plans and building drawings with strong attention to detail
• Experience supporting end-to-end solution lifecycle including scoping, BOM development, quoting, and tender submissions
• Motivated, solutions-focused mindset with a willingness to learn, grow, and embrace new challenges
• Desirable exposure to CommBox, SMART Technologies, Logitech, HP Poly, Yamaha, Dynacord, Shure, LG, Williams AV, MAXHUB, Unilumin or equivalents.
