Job summary

AccountAbility is looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join the People & Culture team on a fixed-term basis in Sydney. This hands-on role requires ownership of an end-to-end payroll function with autonomy within a hybrid working arrangement.

The position is 4 days per week, offering a mix of processing, reconciliations, reporting and stakeholder interaction. ADP Payforce experience and strong Excel skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Strong end-to-end Australian payroll experience.
• Experience with ADP Payforce is highly regarded.
• Strong Excel skills (PivotTables and VLOOKUP).
• Excellent reconciliation and variance analysis skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Proactive problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll processing.
• Payroll reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Processing employee changes, adjustments and payments.
• Maintaining accurate payroll data and records.
• Preparing payroll reports.
• Responding to payroll queries.
• Working closely with the People & Culture team.
• Supporting payroll-related projects and process improvements.
• Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and within deadlines.
