Job summary

Chappell Builders is seeking a Project Manager to lead a site-based team on commercial building projects in South Australia. The role requires autonomous project delivery, strong leadership, and a client-focused approach to deliver on time and budget.

You will manage teams, mentor staff, and ensure WHS compliance while leveraging industry best practices and contract know-how to drive successful outcomes on projects ranging from $1m to $20m.

Qualifications

• Autonomous delivery of construct only and/or design and construct commercial building projects.
• Leading and managing teams of construction professionals including mentoring, training and performance management;
• Outstanding stakeholder management and client focus;
• An understanding of Building methodologies and current industry best practice;
• Understanding of current WHS Act and Legislation;
• Quality management and continuous improvement practices and processes;
• Effective implementation and knowledge of AS Form of Contracts;
• Negotiation and dispute resolution skills;
• Experience in Project Management $1m to $20m

Responsibilities

• Autonomous delivery of construct and/or design and construct projects.
• Lead and manage construction teams, mentoring and performance management.
• Oversee stakeholder management and maintain client focus.
• Apply building methodologies and current industry best practices.
• Ensure compliance with WHS Act and legislation;
• Implement quality management and continuous improvement processes.
• Navigate contract terms per AS Form of Contracts;
• Demonstrate negotiation and dispute resolution skills;
• Manage projects with budgets ranging from $1m to $20m.
